These laptops fail during a bios update and become brick. You have to send in for a repair. Their support is in India which ic very difficult to communicate. Dell has gone bad lately.
This is a desktop computer FYI

This is a desktop but we use Dell XPS laptops at work and none have bricked during bios updates. We have about 60 of them.

EDIT* Added "desktop" to the title. Thanks.

Was hoping you'd chime in. Thank you!

Including a 15% off code and EPP purchase I paid $957.94 oh and add $57 tax.

This or build?

If you choose to build you would save a few dollars and get to choose your preferred brand of parts, etc, but in your case you got a pretty good deal. Now, for those that don't have that 15% off code or the Amex offer, I would say skip this.

I would rather have an alienware case if I was going for a dell prebuilt but I'm leaning towards building my own because I really want an H1 case or a similar white case.

This would be a good start.

• RX 5700 (20% faster than a 2060) - $300
• Ryzen 7 3700X (Faster than an i7-9700) - $275
• B450 Wifi Motherboard - $100
• 16GB 3000MHz RAM - $60
• 500GB SSD - $60
• 600W PSU - $60
• Case - $50
• W10 - $10 @ EBay and key sites

Total: $915

You get a faster GPU, CPU, additional RAM, as well as a more competent motherboard, power supply, and a better case.

Only 8GB of RAM? I can't imagine buying anything with less than 16GB.
