This should be categorized under the current Home Depot Ryobi ONE+ deal, but the links provided there didn't include the option for the hedge trimmer. This way anyone with a deal alert set up can get a heads up.

18-Volt ONE+ High Capacity 4.0 Ah Battery (2-Pack) Starter Kit with Charger and Bag with FREE ONE+ Hedge Trimmer for $99.00 at Home Depot

https://www.homedepot.com/p/313873979

The 22" hedge trimmer (tool only) is currently listed by Home Depot for $99.00 by itself, making this one of the better Ryobi ONE+ deals available right now. Basically getting the batteries and charger for free.

Keep in mind y'all that these are older batteries and not the lithium+
Why not get both and...hedge your bets
They are new 4ah batteries. They use the same newer cells as the HP batteries with the higher discharge amperage but don't have the second set of contacts for the brushless tools.

Looks like a nice deal but be aware that the price of the battery set and the hedge trimmer are not split up (at least not on mobile), i.e. you can't return one and keep the other at the prorated price

Anyone have experience with this hedge trimmer? I have some small shrubs and ordered this the other day

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../309613784

It hasn't arrived yet. I have plenty of batteries, but curious of the tool only and how they compare.

Are these two separate items or a kit under a single barcode? I'd take store credit for the batteries if that's an option...

i have that, it's ok. but obviously size limitations and you would drive yourself crazy doing large shrubs

i have a homelite corded 22" trimmer i've been using from that $10 home depot deal about 6 years ago. it's been great, but i couldn't pass up this opportunity to go cordless with my Ryobi batteries . i don't need the 4aH battery kit, i'll flip that to someone on marketplace

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. My shrubs are small so I will stick with what I have ordered.

It's 5/16" cutting width vs this trimmers 3/4". The smaller trimmer might be good for little bushes but I think you'll outgrow it if you use it frequently and as your shrubs grow in size.
