Comparable to Amazon's similar flex deal, $70 cheaper and $256 gb more storage

Intel's latest gen 10nm processor i5-1035g1, gpu may not be as good as ryzen 5 4500u, but should be sufficient for most people

Back in stock. Picked one up. Thank you. Appears to be a better value deal than the similar Lenovo 14 ryzen 5 for $600 on Amazon.

4500u has a significant lead on the i5. Probably around 20-30 percent faster if my memory serves.

I'm seeing it in stock at the moment. I think it's going in and out of stock.

I agree that AMD is a better CPU/GPU, but the benchmarks only show an 11% improvement, and it is probably not noticeable.

11% sounds like a lot, but when thinking about time (those are the benchmarks), 9:50min vs 11min, isn't going to be that noticeable. And it would only be noticeable for things that took that long or longer. Most basic processes are lightening quick, so internet connection and wifi and RAM are more significant for most daily uses.

And not surprisingly, if based solely on the CPU capability, this laptop is 11-12% less than the Amazon laptop @ $600.

I'd be more focused on battery time/size, screen brightness, wifi hardware (AX200?), and touchscreen responsiveness comparisons.

i bought this and the amazon one for $600.

The major difference I see is this has i5 and 512gb, the amazon has ryzen 5 but 256gb. Is the ryzen worth $70 more?

I'm buying this for my son who will be using autocad for summer school. Autocad recommended specs are 16gb ram and 3+ GHz processor.I think both of them should be fine.

I got the Amazon one and I am going to return it. I am having all kinds of Wi-Fi issues and also the USB ports seem way too tight. I have ordered this one from Staples. Does anyone know the brightness on this?
