While looking at the Back & Yellow HDX Garage Shelfs Home Depot has on sale for $35 this father's day, I saw they have the grey version even cheaper at $29.98 (33% off).
Only difference I can see besides color is the grey is 2" shorter.
Reviews seem really positive too with 4 1/2 stars, 91% recomended.

Mine had a damaged (melted?) part on a shelf and they sent me a replacement easily. Took a few weeks but it was just cosmetic so I was ok with waiting.

I just picked these up last weekend for $45. I wonder if they price adjust.... I got two and don't intend to put very heavy things in them but they work great in my garage for storing kids toys and other random stuff. I might pick up two more at this price.

I just keep buying more of these shelves, they are great. These sterilite 64qt bins are the perfect size to fit two per shelf: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Steri...hmEALw_wcB

Can you install 4 tiers instead of 5? Want to fit it under a cabinet that's 55 inch or less.

Yes you could leave the top shelf off.

Metal ones will definitely last longer if you never plan on moving them. With the plastic ones as long as you dont put really heavy stuff they will last just as long, with the benefit of easily being able to move them by yourself. Those metal shelves are a multiple person job.
Not even...the metal shelves only require a mallet or hammer w/wood to simply seat the shelves and they arent all that heavy esp if you remove the metal wire or particleboard when moving or adjusting them.

They are a far better investment than these for anything substantial/even the slightest bit heavy.

Yes, but one metal one cost 90 bucks compare to one-third the price for this. If storing small items I would definitely buy this.

I've had 3 of these for 5 years and love them. They take a minute to put together, a single person can pick it up and move it around, and they've held heavy kitchen appliances just fine.

I have a bunch of these and like them. The "quality control issues" are just injection molding flash / excess that wasnt removed, so just have a utility knife handy when you put them together.

They go together quick and easy and are strong, but unlike the wire shelves the shelving heights are not configurable

The HF one is much smaller in width and depth too. Just thought I point out
