Dewalt DW735X 13" Planer - $499 at Home Depot - Free Shipping

Amazon has it for the same price too.

****On a side note I used a 15% movers coupon and got it for $425. Got the coupon because they messed my order for a DW734 planer so badly. Bit of a personal victory for me against them.

The DEWALT 13 in. Heavy-Duty 2-Speed Thickness Planer with Knives and Tables has a powerful 15 Amp, 20,000 RPM motor (10,000 RPM cutter-head speed) that handles larger cuts in wider materials with ease. The 3-knife cutter-head provides long-lasting knife life and makes knife changes faster and easier for less downtime, while the 2-speed gear box allows you to change feed speed to optimize cuts per inch. The removable material gauge and extra-large thickness scale deliver accurate cuts with every pass and with the turret depth stop, you can return to your most frequently used thicknesses quickly and conveniently.

Been waiting for this since Black Friday. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve payback thing its is 34k points!

edit: preferred is 50% while reserve is 25%

edit2: I'm a moron and was right the first time, reserve is 50% and preferred 25%
This one does come with extra set of knives. It's down in the item description
Generally they don't take up a ton of room. No more than a miter saw or compact table saw. A small table saw probably takes up more room. They do put out a ton of wood chips. I use mine outside then vacuum up after.

Also this one has an assisted fan to blow the wood chips out. Get a trash in the right location and you could probably catch a lot of them.

Can you elaborate on the Chase Sapphire Reserve payback option?

CSP and CSR currently has the ability to use points at x1.25 and x1.5 redemption value for grocery stores, restaurants, and home improvement. You get it in the form of a statement credit.

Sorry I meant 'preffered' although reserve still has it at the 25% rate. Chase let's you now pay yourself back for purchases and a couple categories get the same accelerated rate 25/50% for reserve/preferred. Best part is you don't have to buy through portal like the travel redemption. Just use the card and you can edit the transaction once it's cleared 90 days or better. Go to the UR portal and it will list your transactions eligible.

edit: Home Improvement and Groceries are two accepted categories

edit2: I was actually right the first time, reserve is 50% and preferred is 25%

I'm still confused... Isn't the reserve have a higher redemption rate?

I don't get your math. Wouldn't you get 500 points for buying, which turn into 750 points worth for payback? Where do you get 34K points?

I had bought one for $450 new CPOOutlets /Ebay deal a few years ago. Sold it without opening after a month.

I believe you will need a lot of space in garage and also really good vacuum setup to effectively suck all wood chips.
