How dare they call this OCD, yet Volume and Drive are a few degrees away from being symmetrical!

Looks like the GE version is limited edition and ending it's production. Will probably go up in value.

The OCD is one of the best overdrives ever made. I have one on my board and use it constantly. Great deal.

Before anyone gets any big ideas of reselling these at a profit, Reverb is banning the sale of any New, Mint or B-stock Fulltone products.

Any used pedal proceeds will be donated

I mean, sure, if you don't care what the owner posts to his social media accounts. And if that's the case, why not just get a used one for practically dirt now
I am not finding any used for dirt prices. Ebay at $120 used is about the best I can find. Do you have a link?

The Germanium is the same price on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Fulltone-O...B07WM2L6C2

The Reverb ban is silly, "We have prohibitions against any kind of racial discrimination, hate speech and any threat or encouragement of violence." The comments by the owner were none of those things.

So is the higher priced custom worth the price difference?

Unfortunately it is not. I bought one for a backup rig and it was one of the few joyo pedals that sounded very different. The joyo had way too much emphasis on the low-mid frequencies.

From what I've read, the Germanium diode gives it a more vintage tone. Hendrix's original Fuzz Face used Germanium transistors which preceded the Silicon transistors that became prevalent and dominate today. Germanium transistors and diodes are inferior from a temperature and leakage standpoint, are harder to manufacture and have fallen out of favor through the past 50 or so years. However, many believe that the Germanium devices have a better tone - which is, of course subjective. Vacuum tubes are also inferior from a sheer performance standpoint to solid state devices, but have a better tone to the trained ear. So I do believe these are better than their silicon brethren, but ultimately its your ears and your taste. I also believe at this price point, it makes more sense to get the Germanium version.

That's just my take. Wave

Excellent dirt box at an excellent price. I really don't NEED one, but I'd like to have one. My Green Rhino could use a friend...
