Google nest hub max is $199 at Home Depot and Nest hub mini is $29 at Home Depot . Seems like a good deal to me.

Feels like this is decent but there have been previous sales of $180 or so, no? I didn't check how recent they were, and I mainly want this over my Lenovo display to have auto framing during video calls

Yeah I got mine for $175 I think in March on sale at Home Depot. I returned it though.

When you got two regular nests for $80 at HSN, I can do away with "video" chat for $150 more. And let's be honest, the mini's are a giveaway.

I own hub max, lenovo 10" and hub mini. Hub max although expensive is amazing and beats all other smart display by far.

Pros
1. Amazing sound
2. Ambient display
3. Casting
4. Camera for video calling with auto framing
5. Nest Cam built in

Cons
1. No Netflix support, grrrrrr. Netflix limitation.
2. 720 display, could have been 1080 atleast
3. Duo doesn't support group call, Google duo issue.

I hope at some point I replace all my smart display to hub max.

While the camera in the Lenovo isn't a nest cam, it does all that other stuff. I got my two foot $150 total. They were refurbs but actually new or I couldn't tell the difference. For the price, Lenovo is the pick for me.

I watched a YouTube video and the sound is just so much better on the Max so I'm pretty tempted by this.

Pretty sure you can cast Netflix to it from your phone or another device.

I got the same one, but IMHO the camera leaves a lot to be desired. A much wider-angle fov and then auto cropping/framing would go a long way for video calls.
