A Ryzen 4800H laptop with a 115W RTX 2060, good battery and screen for this price would be a real slick deal.

Edit: Yeah, this is not that laptop. Bad battery, bad screen and needlessly gimped cooling. The new 115W 2060 is equivalent to an old 2070. I have no idea whats inside this.

Not a good battery it's 46wh. I agree to first part gpu and Ryzen 4800 is lucrative at this pricepoint

I'm not going to game at all, but I do need a workhorse that can handle large data sets in STATA and R, as well as be able to handle 30 or so chrome tabs open.
Wouldn't this be a good fit? Or is there better option out there in terms of specs and build quality. I was told this trumps laptops like the ideapad 3 and 4 deals in terms of build quality.
R etc, more memory the better.

I have the A15 with the 4800H, 1660 Ti, and 144hz panel. The keyboard color can be changed and by default (even without any of the ASUS software) it cycles through each color (single zone).

144hz minimum
16gb of ram minimum

Other than that, good deal if you don't really game.
You will game if it has a Nvidia 2060, you can up the ram with a 16gig stick if you want more. Wonder what's the monitor output specs are. Games still play at 30-60 frames lol, at least they will be at a stable 60 fps.

48Wr battery and 60hz panel. Apparently the cooling is also lackluster. There is only one 8gb ram stick, so it's not dual channel. Otherwise, specs are good
What is dual channel? And could I just replace the 8gb stick it comes with with 2 16gb sticks to get dual channel?

So a 115 watt 2060 is equivalent to the 115 watt RTX 2070?

shocked for the price but found out no 144hz.
If this let you use external monitor with G-sync and 144hz, shouldn't be too bad.

60 hz is fine for anyone who won't be using it for gaming, and you can always upgrade ram yourself.
Then get a thinkpad or something. Why get a gaming laptop lol?

Just wait you will be able to upgrade the monitor to 144hz in the near future (because panel actually exists)!!! So I wouldn't recommend the 1660ti version since you obviously can't upgrade the GPU. I'm happy with this buy she's solid for premier pro and I can feel comfortable gaming with a rtx 2060. And got another 8gb ram stick for like $35.
