Be VERY VERY careful cleaning glass cooktops. They are way more fragile than most people know. Keep the polish as last resort. Use dawn soap and let the dissolving properties of the soap do most of the work. Rubbing hard with polishes can cause dull spots on the glass which will stick out like a sore thumb.

Tnx OP. Price keeps going up. It is now $3.49. Still much cheaper than WM and HD. Bought 4 without S&S.

While this stuff is good and I've used it, I find Barkeeper's Friend liquid polish does the job just as well, has more uses, and is around $2.50-$2.70 all the time.

I wonder how effective is this for cleaning the insides of the glass oven door.

I agree, any particulate/friction based cleaner like Bar Keeper's Friend, Ajax or Comet will work great on glass stove tops. The Comet I have says it's non-abrasive too. Just spray down your glass top with a mixture of hot water and dish soap and let that sit for a while, then sprinkle the Comet or whatever liberally over that. Use the hard side of a non-abrasive dish sponge and really spend some time scrubbing it until you feel the surface underneath is smooth (meaning the burnt on stuff has come off). Then begin removing the soapy/cleaner mess you made and wipe dry. That method is the best I have found for my glass stove top. I do have Weiman's as well but I hardly ever use it.

Used to do your exact methods until I gave up and bought induction stove instead. Night and day.

Does the induction top not also get hot enough through conductive heat to burn spilled food? Why is it night / day

Spread some baking soda on the surface, drop some vinegar on it, let it sit for a bit (maybe 15 minutes or so), then some gentle scrubbing/wiping with a microfiber towel.

I tried one of this company's other products (Weiman Cooktop Cleaner Max) to try to remove carbon build up left behind by the previous tenant. It did nothing. At least it didn't scratch the glass, but getting all the abrasive particles out of the crevices was annoying for getting zero result. Not sure what's the point if it can't get up burned-on stuff since the rest of the things it claims to clean can just be removed with dish soap.
