Pretty good price. I have the previous version in 41mm. Tried on the 44mm and while it wore relatively well (esp for a breitling), it was still a bit too large for my slimmer wrists.

These things are built like absolute tanks.

Get yourself a timepiece like an Omega. IMO better looking and may actually appreciate over time.

Any Omega that might appreciate (emphasis on MIGHT) will likely be twice this price. Unless you have an actual suggestion in this price range...?

lol omegas appreciate, not unless you have a speedmaster moon watch or something... overwhelming majority of omegas will be worth <50% what you paid if you try to resell...

timepieces by definition will appreciate over time because of inflation. If you are going to spend a good chunk of change, might as well get something that will be worth your while imo.

not sure what planet you are on but my automatic seamasters are all worth at least $1k more than what I bought them for 5+ years ago. Edit* I purchased them used btw, makes a big difference. Never buy new unless of course that's your thing.

But this what OP posted is not a timepiece that will appreciate.
Inflation or not.

Most watches "gain value" due to lack of availability or whatever games Rolex plays.
But never buy a watch as an investment piece.

Wow, that's some mental gymnastics instead of simply walking back on your comment.

Unless you're buying a Patek or the like, one shouldn't purchase a watch with the expectation that it'll appreciate (SANS INFLATION SINCE APPARENTLY THATS WHAT YOU MEANT). You should buy a watch because you like it, so if someone likes this Colt, it's a pretty decent deal on a well made watch.

This is used Steelfish terroritory, so a very good deal. Mint late model Colt 41s also go for near this price. I need to seriously consider this.

I sold my ceremic smb chrono recently for UNDER what I purchased it ..and this was on Wus private forum. Ebay would have been more brutal.

It was my 1st Omega (tried the hype) and meh..not my cuppa of tea. Sold it and bought a pre owned Breitling superocean Chrono (older model) and love it. I know movement wise Omega is better but nothing wrong with Breitling's V7750 either.
