Judging by previous Pixel 3a posts, I'm going to get hammered for this post, but I don't care.
Just trying to help someone out who, like me, can't wait until October for 4a and keeps seeing Amazon shipping delays.

Same price as Amazon, but in-stock with free 2 day shipping:

For me, it's been a great phone for more than a year now. It's not perfect. I wish it had some type of water protection and it will have an occasional hiccup (what phone doesn't?) If it were a month ago, I'd tell y'all to wait for the 4a. Now, I don't even know if that will come out the way it's been (mis)managed. Great camera, great battery, stock android, a perfect phone for 75% of people imo.
This phone is great but the screen is fragile, and the screen replacement is very expensive.
If you need a phone right now, this is a good call. Who knows when the 4a will come out... it's frickin 2020 and the world is on fire

Have had mine for a year. Haven't regretted not using a screen protector yet.

Last push update bricked my 3a, but otherwise love the phone.
I would suggest not doing any updates when storage is <5% free.

I'm hoping the price would get around 200 to 250
Then I guess you will need to wait $29.99 more. Thanks for sharing.

What modern phone has an inexpensive screen replacement?

I love mine. And I've been on it since launch date. Absolutely can't be beat in the sub-$350 market. Stock Android is the only way to go. Battery is incredible. My first screen bit the dust in Dec with a face plant on the Walmart parking lot. No phone could have taken a 5ft face down drop. Glass shattered, but worked fine until I got it replaced. Camera alone is worth it.

So to be clear, you haven't not regretted not using a screen protector? Or you have not regretted not embracing the lack of a screen protector?
Likely: doesn't have a screen protector, and hasn't regretted it yet.

Yeah, that was worded confusingly. I don't like using screen protectors, haven't used one on this phone yet, and it's been fine after a year. I put it in the thigh pocket in my jeans all the time and it's just fine.

I got a Pixel 3a XL during the crazy deals last Black Friday. I thought it would be a massive downgrade from my Samsung Galaxy Note8 (which I decided to part with as the camera lens was jacked up and I wanted something different) but I was actually very surprised with how this thing performs. I agree that this phone is great for most users, but I honestly think it's better to wait for the 4a if you can hold out a few months more.

EDIT: Also, this is the first time I'm seeing concerns about the screen... no problems here -- no screen protector and I've got an 18-month old throwing this thing around. YMMV I guess!
