Amazon question/answer says they are Made in China. Can anyone confirm where these are actually made?

They are designed in the US but made in China.

Do you wanna know where in China are they made?

KastKings are well known shills. I wouldn't trust any reviews. Decide if you wanna deal with returning it.

I've always wanted to get into fishing, you guys think this would be a good first rod? Or should I go for something cheaper? Thanks in advanced

I got a $14 H2O express from Academy and honestly it's been great. It's taken some abuse and it looks like new. I mostly use old Ugly Stiks but I'm very happy with the Academy rod for the price.

Right now I've been using a Dragontail Tenkara rod. Very different than a traditional fishing setup, but super simple and a lot of fun.

You'll still need a reel. For first time, just get a Walmart combo for less. You can still catch fish.

Krap King sells garbage reels. I had 5 of them. All had major issues. Rods might be another story... Good luck.

What type of rod would be best for lake fishing/Creek fishing. Looking for something that I can catch trout or bass with in California. Thanks!

The ML and Medium 6'9 rods showed in stock for me. Picked up the medium. Any input on how good these rods are? I was considering getting the ugly stik elite
