Seems you need their dedicated app to do backups (it needs access to your contacts for some reason according to the comments).

Can anyone confirm that?

Also the QC and PD port share power draw, so only one port can fast charge at a time.

EDIT: Found the app(s), it's called either U-Hub or RAV FileHub both are by the same company.

Either one require EXTENSIVE amount of permissions.

U-HUB permissions needed:

This app has access to:
Device & app history

-retrieve running apps

-read your contacts
-modify your contacts

-read battery statistics
-change network connectivity
-allow Wi-Fi Multicast reception

You guys know you could just not install that app and use it as a regular dumb charger, right?
But that makes too much sense. Why would we ever want to do something sensible? Lol

Data port is strange AF, won't be using that for data. Looks like you can also use it for 5V/1A output...which is fine for an Apple watch or sound machine or something. I already have too many chargers but 5 ports, 60W, USBC PD for $17 is too slick to pass up. Damn you Slickdeals....in for one.

I've been having one for almost a year. I use it for a charging station for my camera batteries, batteries and phones. Sometimes it takes a while to charge. I have yet to use the cloud feature.

I had the same issue. You need to change the seller to "HooToo-US"... a vendor name that inspires confidence.

Really looking for a charger with a QC3 port and a PD port. It's oddly rare. I don't need a bunch of 1A ports. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

I read about this the last time this particular hub was on sale. Honestly this thing is a hard pass and I wouldn't trust this one bit.

Backup data transfee is a weird and unusual feature for a power adapter. Must be so the Chinese government can make a copy of your info...
