Seems you need their dedicated app to do backups (it needs access to your contacts for some reason according to the comments).

Can anyone confirm that?

Also the QC and PD port share power draw, so only one port can fast charge at a time.

EDIT: Found the app(s), it's called either U-Hub or RAV FileHub both are by the same company.

Either one require EXTENSIVE amount of permissions.

U-HUB permissions needed:

This app has access to:
Device & app history

-retrieve running apps

Contacts
-read your contacts
-modify your contacts

Location
-approximate location (network-based)
-precise location (GPS and network-based)

Phone
-read phone status and identity

Photos/Media/Files
-read the contents of your USB storage
-modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

Storage
-read the contents of your USB storage
-modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

Wi-Fi connection information
-view Wi-Fi connections

Device ID & call information
-read phone status and identity

Other
-view network connections
-read battery statistics
-change network connectivity
-allow Wi-Fi Multicast reception
-connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi
-full network access
-prevent device from sleeping

RAV Filehub permissions needed:

This app has access to:
Device & app history

-retrieve running apps
-read sensitive log data

Identity
-find accounts on the device

Contacts
-find accounts on the device
-read your contacts
-modify your contacts

What the heck? This is a spy charger. It's a big fat NO for me because of that as well as ability to only fast charge 1 device at a time. Any recommendations for a good tech piece that can charge an iPhone XR 64, an IPad Air 64MG, ( and maybe an Macbook Pro and Ipad mini 2)?

But that makes too much sense. Why would we ever want to do something sensible? Lol

Keep in mind the USB Ports are USB 2.0 ONLY, with 20MB/sec limit. It's good otherwise

Really looking for a charger with a QC3 port and a PD port. It's oddly rare. I don't need a bunch of 1A ports. I'd appreciate any recommendations.
Guess you missed this one yesterday? https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/570149

i have had this charger for months. If you have devices plugged in to all the USB ports then you wont get the MAX PD charge. The blue data ports are only meant for data backup and not for charging. one port for phone and to other port for a flash drive or external hard drive.

It's been working fine without issues. I have no complaints.

Holy cows! This is the first RavPower item I've seen that isn't rated an F on FakeSpot! They must be cooling it on trying scam the feedback. Oh and their rating on this is a D.
