Not sure if BeFree models have differnet levels of quality, but I got mine sometime back and right away I returned it. Build quality was crap. I have my other manfrotto tripod and it is excellent.

Quick look at a few Amazon reviews and I think I will pass. Legs breaking/jamming, head issues.

Been eyeing the ifootage monopod for video. https://www.ifootagegear.com/prod...bra-2-a120 (both in carbon and aluminum).

This is a great tripod for destination weddings. We bring it for the locked off shot and then a good bigger tripod for actually panning and tilting etc. for the wide shot, this is perfect! No longer available though looks like though

Yeah, I don't think it's meant to be a lightweight portable tripod.
Mine is probably 15 years old, and I bought the wheel kit option for it.

It is far sturdier than the half aluminum, half plastic cheap ones I use for lighter gear.

Depends what you want and how much to spend.
I have a couple of these, they are expensive, but I got a good sale price on them.
Do note, they do not have a head on them, but I don't need it for my application.
If I do need swivel, I use a Bogen light swivel adapted.
I use the monopod to mount my video camera on it, extended it up on a table to record my daughter at events. We are required to sit, not stand, so I use this to my advantage.

Real solid piece, overkill for most.

Back when I bought these swivels, they were like $15 each.
They are real solid though.I hang projectors from ceilings with them. Smilie

I think I paid $10 for this on sale, now double the price.

Twist locks should be officially banned.
