I bought the 4.1 set and the 2.1 set when they were first released. I sold the 4.1s but I still use the 2.1 as my primary desktop speakers (same original set) and they are showing no signs of slowing down. Unfortunately I don't have a Costco close otherwise I'd pick up a second set for the garage maybe a 3rd for the basement.

Best PC speakers I ever heard and owned were the Logitech Z2300. Could easily beat out $5000 home theater setups all day. And it was only 2.1
My z2300 were making a small hum when silent... I recently tried to replace the two large capacitors on the board... not sure what went wrong but now it won't power on. I soldered the old one back on and same thing Frown maybe I'll have more time to mess with them soon but hoping some nice 2.1s like z625 or the ones in OP go on sale. I have some cheaper Logitech speakers hooked up now and they sound so horrible lol

Don't buy these Klipsch Pro Media bro, even if they do to $78 that I got mine for. I made that mistake and ended up giving them to my 7 year old son for his setup. These Klipsch computer speakers are amazing for most people, they are NOWHERE close to the Z2300.

I'll put it like this, if Z2300 are a perfect 10.0 for sound, the Klipsch are a 6.2... The Klipsch subwoofer sounds like garbage if turned up even half way. sounds decent as long as it is half powered. I honestly not sure how this Klipsch even got THX certified with the sound it outputs.

Since you are spoiled by the Z2300 and its deep, smooth house shaking bass from that subwoofer, you will be like me, buying countless computer speakers and studio monitors looking for that one pair that if speakers that can come close to matching the z2300. I honestly don't think anything exist that has been made in the last 20 years since they release the z2300.

We are chasing the great white Buffalo it seems!

Are these generally available in the Costco warehouse or can you only order online?

Great speakers. I still have two sets running. I'm actually surprised Costco is selling these... I've never seen them carry it.

Did you check your sub speaker. The cone foam breaks down over the years. There are google instructions on how to open it up and glue a new foam replacement. the Klipsh pc sets are great. I have and old school 4.1 set and a newer 2.1 set. They both sound great.

Also the volume control over the years can get crackly when you adjust the volume. You can open up the control and clean the switch.

Is there a demand for older 2.1 speakers? If so, I have a Logitech Z2200 that I wouldn't mind selling.

I guess I could check it out. I got it a few months ago from klipsch as refurbished, so subwoofer might be damaged

Just for the z2300 model. Considered by many to be the greatest desktop speakers ever created.

Klipsch refurbished should have already checked the foam ring around the cone. You should be able to simply examine the speaker through the grill to see if the foam ring is split or even disintegrated. It's such an easy fix. I hunted down some $5 foam rings from ebay and replaced mine.

Have these been around forever? I have these in my garage for my workbench PC. Must be 10+ yrs old. Still sound decent, except one is starting to sound blown.
If the speaker cones are still intact, you might want to open up the amplifier unit. Capacitor replacement is pretty easy in these.
