Are these good for garage ? Trying to set some music for my garage gym, just want to know if they can survive the dust from garage
I've had these on my desk for probably 10 years and really like them for near-field use. But if you have the room, bigger is generally better.

I didn't know the Logitech z2300 was that popular to some people. I still have a set with the original box. Will have to listen to it again because I do not remember what it sounds like. Might end up selling it.

Honestly what bothers me is that no company has even bothered to make a better 2.1 pc speaker system than these. There are tons of speaker companies for theater setups that would destroy these but nobody wants to make them easily hook up to a pc, seems like a super easy way to make some money but my guess is there's just not that much profit margin in PC speakers. Seems like a worthy business venture either way.

I've replaced several pieces on mine, except for the two satellite speakers themselves. I think my set is close to 20 years old and the amp originally had a power switch on it. i wish they kept that power switch...

great set. would still recommend!

Just for the z2300 model. Considered by many to be the greatest desktop speakers ever created.
Such hyperbole!

These are the best ever:

I just ordered another set. I left the other set at the farm.

Will someone PLEASE help me with recommendations for a bluetooth adaptor that I can use to play music from an iPhone on these?

I had another mini-bluetooth receiver thing for some outdoor speakers I have, and I couldn't figure out how to get it to work with my other ProMedia 2.1 set, but I think that thing was more intended for passive speakers. However, it has left me confused, and I am feeling like an idiot looking at various bluetooth receiver/adaptors because I'm unsure if they'll work with this new set and I don't want to order something I'll have to return.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

(By the way, these speakers are great. Unless you're trying to rock the whole neighborhood these are more than sufficient IMO. - Disclosure: I'm a speaker junkie and have systems that I've dumped thousands into but I still love these.)

This. It's got a high quality DAC, and uses the best Bluetooth protocols like LDAC and AptX. Plus its phone app is really really good!!! It gives you a TON of control.

These were $100 new for the longest time.

Also you can't power them off.

you probably need an Amp and some bigger speaker for the garage due to the large space. Due to Costco policy you can always check them out and return if not satisfied.

Also the volume control over the years can get crackly when you adjust the volume. You can open up the control and clean the switch.
i notice that too. Because of that, I leave the volume on the speaker at a higher volume and just control it through my desktop, so i wouldn't need to fiddle with the knob on the speaker itself and cause any damage.
