Le Creuset 4.5 Dutch Oven at Local Outlets $151 Free Shipping

Le Creuset Outlets are having a sale on the 4.5 qt round Dutch oven for $151 in Cerise with black knob and a special limited edition Mickey Mouse cerise colored 4.5 qt for $175 with the stainless knob. To get offer, call or email your local outlet store and ask for pricing and availability. I was specifically looking for the 4.5 and that was all I inquired about, but if you want another size, I would ask about those. I got the Mickey Mouse 4.5 qt by emailing and then ordering on the phone at the Woodbury Commons location in New York. They are shipping for free. I just got mines yesterday via UPS plus a free gift with purchase. YMMV.

How do you guys clean the interior? I only use sponge, so mine has stain stuck on. I am afraid to use steel brushes.
I use barkeepers friend on mine. Works great with no effort.

Just looking out for your kiddos!

Several years ago I tested my Le Creuset for heavy metals like lead and cadmium. After that test, I no longer used any Le Crueset made in China (which are all the ceramic ones). Mine tested poorly (lead and cadmium at high levels on the both the interior and exterior). The cast iron from France tested bad for some colors on the exterior (like red) and good for other colors. My blue Le Creuset tested pretty good – lead and cadmium free on the inside and lead free on the outside but low levels of cadmium on the outside of some but not all. I was told by the company it was leach tested and there were no concerns.

I don't see error bars or equipment resolution stated anywhere. Are these findings statistically different from eachother? Percent difference when working with small analytical numbers is a big no-no because it misrepresents your data. Additionally, how do these values correlate to daily exposures from other sources? How do they relate to actionable levels?

It's an interesting idea, but without any of that it's just another blog that doesn't really provide any substantive data and leads to alarmist, crunchy mothers who aren't scientifically literate.

My wife wanted a le creuset for some time. I bought her a Nordic ware ( https://www.target.com/p/nordic-w...ZEEALw_wcB) and she absolutely loves it. Much lighter weight than lc at the same size, which matters a lot more than you might expect. Nonstick is great and cooking is very even. And as an added bonus it's made in the USA, for about the price of Chinese made lc.

Wait... Time to pop some popcorn, sit back, and watch this thread. Don't post any more nonsense until I get back

I thought all Le Creuset enamel coated was made in France? That's why I would get one over an enamel Lodge. So the blue color is the safest?

What about Staub?

All the cast iron stuff is made in France but they have a cheaper line of ceramic that is not.

So, how exactly do you cook your meals without metal? You sun roast meat and vegetables? LOL. Get a grip of reality.

Go back to school.

For fresh stains, I boil mine with water and acid- vinegar. I use your recommendation for hard stains. They are helpful.

That's a shame! Very little these days at the Flemington outlets.

Is the 50% off their reduced prices or regular LC prices?
Off of the outlet full price (which is basically slightly cheaper than MSRP for the non outlet pieces). 50% off that though is still amazing and the best you will ever find. Unfortunately, they will not ship.

Awesome, my folks live not too far, so I'll see if they can stop by before they close! Thanks!
