There is zero chance of that happening. Grubhub just got bought and that deal won't close till 2021
Who is manipulating you? Isn't purchasing an item ultimately your decision?

I'm the OP and can assure you I am not compensated in any way to post deals. I check the PayPal gift card site daily and post when I find a deal.
Lol. You think they get acquired and void all gift cards? Wow. And even on the very slim chance it did happen...You ever heard of class action lawsuits? They would lose more than by just honoring gift cards. Your understanding of the world is a bit suspect to say the least

DoorDash could get acquired by Grub Hub so this is risky. Wouldn't take the gamble myself.

Doordash has 45% marketshare now and is way bigger than Grubhub.

GH is really only big in NYC and is behind Postmates and Uber Eats everywhere else. They declined a merger with Uber Eats and got bought by a European company called Just Eat.

If this is a paid post, Slickdeals should mention this. This was just posted yet has a lot of thumbs up which I don't think are real people but instead paid thumbs up. We are being manipulated to buy things when they really aren't good deals.

If at all possible try to order directly from a restaurant as the cut that entities like doordash and grubhub take (let alone the fees they normally charge us, the customer) are typically 10-30% and a lot of restaurants actually take a loss on these types of orders.

(sorry don't mean to preach but whew it's a really tough time for mom and pop type restaurants right now)

Totally hear you, but you're forgetting that there are large number of people who rely on these services for additional (or primary) income as well. Just last week, ordered DD and saw a lady who was doing her deliveries with her daughter (single mom trying to make it). Gave her an extra big tip! So while ordering direct does give more money to the restaurant, when ordering from these services, you're giving to restaurant, delivery person, and service biz (and shareholders). Food for thought... (pun intended). Smilie

I agree. Since a lot of people can't do uber/lyft anymore as an income source, a lot have moved to food delivery. Yes, people should help restaurants directly but I think a good few of needs to also help delivery people on Doordash, PostMates and even grocery deliveries as well. I also try to give extra tips than I normally as well if I can afford it.

Not worth it. Everything in dash is $1-2 more then normal price so your not getting a discount plus delivery isn't really free after $15. They add $5-10 in miscellaneous fees that pretty much include the fee.
Make your order as pickup and check total then remove item and re do it in delivery and you'll see it's way more expensive

Uber Eats was looking to buy Grubhub, to put Uber on the map. DoorDash is the leader at the moment and not going anywhere.

Agree. my local store sell items 20% lower than Doordash
they deliver
when buyong Eats or Doordash, you pay a 20% mark up, and store need to pay some of the proceeds to Doordash.

I prefer paying %20 less and support my eateries directly.
