I have this. It is a cheap piece of equipment with a replaceable blade. No way I would have paid 57$ for it. $19 should be its regular price

Thanks! That's good to know. I just saw that just blade replacements are themselves $30 online. So $20 for the full thing seemed like a deal.

Have it as well, $20 is what this is worth, not a "slick deal" really

$10 shipping. Please add that, so people don't have to add to find out.

Thanks for sharing the deal

Added that to the description. Thanks. I had a free shipping coupon they sent me a while ago which still worked so I forgot about it.

I'm confused why people are saying this should be normal price. This is a great deal. I have three various models from this brand including one of these. They are really fantastic, they will cut through anything and have proven to be extremely durable.

They take some finesse though, not straight power. You will break the teeth on it if you just throw your full weight into it.

For someone that is thinking about moving a little more in the direction of hand tools over power tools, how hard is it to get good results with a saw like this vs ripping on a table saw or cross cutting with a table saw + sled or miter saw? I would imagine in some respects it can be easier, such as no risk of burning when cutting hard maple.

It would obviously be a much slower process. However, I have cut everything from Pine to Oak and everything has come out perfect. It's about as close to a "smooth as glass" cut edge as you can get.

At this price, it's pretty much no-risk. I'd give one a shot!

This is a great middle-size and tooth pattern for a general use pull saw. You'll quickly realize what kinds of cuts can be managed by hand - and many cuts may be easier to set-up or safer with the hand-saw. While I've done many projects entirely by hand, I find that these saws still find a place in the shop as a complement to powered saws. If you've never used one, definitely give it a go!
