You dont have to wait until the last minute to cancel the premium. You can cancel today but the length of the promotion will be still valid, meaning the premium will continue until end of six months.
I just got the email also. I signed up for a new acct using another email to get the free 6 months and used a privacy.com card so in case I forget to cancel, I won't be charged. I'm making myself a note though to cancel.
Users have posted that it is asking for a code when signing up using that link.

Edit: Tried it anyway, and yep, it is asking for a code (screencap attached). You should have received an email with a unique link containing the code before you can claim this offer.

OP should change the title to YMMV.

For which chase card have you received this invitation? Any chase card?

Update: I did received back in March, somehow I missed that email. It said offer valid till 5/31. But it worked today without any problems.
Plus I used capitalone eno virtual card to register. Got 6 months premium. Good until 12/17.

I got the email as well. This worked for my account which I canceled Premium about a month an half ago so it may not be just for new users.

Have you had only good experience with privacy.com ? They had a lot of bad reviews.
