I paid $515 OYD for this monitor ~4 years ago. Crazy how prices are sticking on these things.

Anyway, this model has a known issue where the screen "glitches" with a few rainbow lines every so often. Mine does it a few times a day and it lasts a fraction of a second. Other than that these are great monitors.

A lot of these 32" 4k ips monitors do. Crossover, Monoprice, this benQ. they all use the same panels probably.

Yup, I see that quite a bit with my 32" 4k Monoprice and occasionally with my similar QNIX.

This look interesting, but I'm not sure it would be much more than a sidegrade on those. I'm really hoping for an ultrawide 2160p vertical with 100hz+ and good brightness and color quality.

Yeah they mention the glitch in this decent review years ago and thought it might be GPU related:

Can these be calibrated on the LUT level? And how many percent of Adobe RGB can this display for photographers that print their content. Its not hard getting 100% sRGB.

This is almost the perfect 32" 4k screen for a decent price. Geez, didnt realize its so many years old model....

I want to be able to calibrate the screen so I can have accurate colors. (Not just software calibration)

This won't happen until the video card and also the monitors are both at least DP 1.4 ..

DP 1.2, and HDMI 2.0 does not have enough bandwidth for anything above 4K 60hz 4:4:4 8bit RGB. going to 10bit means you have to decrease one of the other parameters such as dropping down to 4:2:0 or 30hz for example.

I have monitors from 2006 HP 3065 that are still fine and works perfectly! Old monitors doesn't mean bad. The only problem is the older monitors often don't have the latest connector ports but a lot of the older professional monitors that still have good backlight are still excellent otherwise in several parameters.

Look at that review posted by daveangel. It's a very informative review

I had the previous model of this display and it was getting that glitch. I finally RMA'd the display. It's a known issue that they can apparently fix as they sent me a refurb of this model. No more glitch. RMA experience was excellent. They advance shipped the refurb replacement and had a label for me to send back the old one IIRC...

No!!! Dont buy BenQ refurbished products. I bought one and it's a mess. They did not refurbish it properly. The screen is a mess of discolorations

I've bought many BenQ refurbished monitors over the years. I'd say 80% have been very good, 10% are okay (cosmetic scratches), and 10% arrived damaged (broken glass). Overall customer service has been good. This is a good monitor but the design is a bit clunky.

I've bought 3 QHD or 4K monitors refurbs from Benq. Never had a problem. All looked new.

I can't confirm. Does this have free sync? Would this be good for gaming?
