Poseidon X Gravel bike with AdventX - 699

edit - this is for a preorder, ships in a few weeks

Pretty great price for a gravel bike, especially with a solid 10 speed this year with a clutch rear derailleur. The gearing is very forgiving at 38 11-38, and it's a bike I'd ride daily without much hesitation.

Wheels are disc brake quick release, probably single piston for brakes (Lyra?) Frame can be converted to TA in the rear. Other pluses - threaded bottom bracket, 4 bottle cage mounts, carbon fork with mount points and rack points as well.

For the record my primary bikes are a Fuji Cross And Fuji Jari and I'm all about 1x for a daily bike.

Could be worse. Rear has option for ta with an adaptor but front would need a different fork.

Other pluses - threaded bottom bracket, 4 bottle cage mounts, carbon fork with mount points and rack points as well.

No thru axle and you'll probably want to change the brakes but other than that you get a lot of bike for $700

three colors to choose from, very nice.
Only one thing keeping me from ordering. That cable sticking out the shifter. What is this? 1997?

Microshift does that for their road ones.

Everyone wants clean road setups and then mtb setups have cables everywhere. As long as it shifts nicely it doesn't really matter.

Oh also, path less pedaled also recently reviewed the Advent x group

Thank you and thumbs up for making me aware of this company. I bookmarked it and will be checking back to see if their flat bar model comes back in stock. It's a very good value with mediocre parts, but I just want it for the frameset and will sell off the parts if it becomes available again.

It would be nice if they offered an option to order a replacement R DER hanger with the purchase of a bike from them, considering that these are aluminum frames, and you sometimes will need them after the company no longer exists. Not to be negative, just realistic. I do unsupported bicycle touring, and I want my bike to be repairable as much as possible

So it has an "Advent" gruppo? I have never heard of this equipment. Any good? Gravel bikes are at a premium right now.

OK...did some research. It seems this gruppo is only a half step down from Deore and is def good for a $700 bike. Brakes suck, but overall Thumbs up.

I might buy one if they fit me.

Hey allknowing1, I reached out through their contact page. Looks like its not a "standard" hanger so they didn't give me a normal part or Wheels Mfg equivalent.

I'm waiting for a little more information and price, but they did say they will add them to any order on request.

I'm completely new to cycling. Was looking for something that can get me around town (we have pretty bad roads) and something I can take when I go camping to go on some trails.

This appears to be a pretty great option for a newbie like me, right? Both the original and the 1 year later Spindatt reviews were very encouraging. The fact that this could be a really great platform to incrementally upgrade is a huge plus to me.
