Noticed that my AdGuard Pro on my iPhone updated and it appears that with the new version 4.0.1 of AdGuard Pro, it brings the same features to AdGuard Pro as the Premium Features which cost $12.99 on the regular AdGuard App.

AdGuard Pro - $1.99

See the blog post about the update here: https://adguard.com/en/blog/updat...r-ios.html

Looks like the price will increase in the future so it might be a good idea to get in on this for $1.99 now before the price increases as it does appear that it has the same features as the $12.99 premium unlock on the regular AdGuard app.

Pricing policy
Unlike AdGuard for iOS (that's subscription-based), AdGuard Pro has always been a one-time purchase app. Its price has stayed the same (and relatively low) for a long time for apparent reasons.

Now, when AdGuard Pro and AdGuard for iOS wield the same arsenal, it wouldn't be fair to have different prices. In the near future we're going to increase the price of AdGuard Pro to be in line with the lifetime subscription of AdGuard for iOS. You still have time to purchase it for the old price, though!

What the heck are you talking about? Why does blocking ads make people "scared and uninformed"? Are you off your meds?

Adguard works perfectly fine. The Safari content blocker blocks ads in Safari only. The local VPN-based DNS adblocker is unfortunately necessary on iOS as it's the only way to do device-wide adblocking. This shares the limitations of all DNS-based adblocking in that it won't block YouTube ads, etc, but that isn't their fault, it does what it says on the box.

Regarding googling "adguard apk", 1) APKs are android, this deal is for iOS and 2) that's piracy.
DNS adblocking won't work for Hulu ads.
Few years ago, I installed ios apps like Adblock Pro, and on tap of a button, it'd remove game ads and safari ads in addition to many scam websites.. It didn't affect any internet speed and was great.. But then Apple stopped this and only non-jailbroken way is to have a VPN whose profile needs to be loaded and have to be running in background for the ads (and game ads) to stop appearing.. As it is a VPN profile, it took a hit in the data/wifi speed and made the network overall slow.. Frown

Does this block ads system wide, such as Hulu app? If it only works on safari, I am already using Brave browser which does it for free

can we use same app for 1.99 on multiple devices or is it per device cost. I also recall these guys having some subscription type of feature. Also this dosen't look to be blocking ads in other apps just safari only.

I wanted something for away from home to. Looks like safari only based on the language on the website. Too bad. But a phone/iPad wide block might not be possible due to developer (Apple) restrictions without root/jailbreak. Possibly not on Android as well without root.

At your home you can do pi-hole on a raspberry pi or in a docker container. I have it running in docker.

You should be able to set up a VPN through your router.

Ad guard and all the similar apps are nothing but ways to gain money off of scared and uninformed consumers. Unnecessary totally unnecessary.
How factual is this? I always need to see both sides of the coin for things like this that I'm mostly unaware of. Does anyone have what OP posted? Do you feel it does a "great job" with everything as it should and isn't just a ploy to get our info? Please, serious replies only if possible :x
