Rare ATT iPhone Upgrade offer iPhone XS 64Gb $450 ($15/mo for 30 months)

ATT is offering an Iphone XS 64GB for $15/mo (1/2 off) or an Iphone XS 256Gb for $20 mo ($450/off).

May be a good option for someone that wants the Face ID and slightly larger screen than the $200 Iphone SE 2020 offer through Wal-Mart.

I got 3 of these from Frys a couple months ago for this price and they are unlocked. This is not great.

The Frys deal seemed like a good deal. I'm showing they're only offering refurbished Iphone XS's at the moment, so not replicable for someone looking for a phone now.

The biggest benefit may be for existing ATT customers who want a cost effective upgrade. Generally, ATT requires a new line of service to get phone discounts. No new line required on this offer.

IF you are on a recent ATT unlimited plan, then call the ATT loyalty department and see if the IPhone XS 64gb is still $149.99 on a two-year contract. (XS 256gb was still $600) I did this for my wife last month. Better still, we upgraded her line from a previous loyalty two-year contract after only 16 months (instead of 24).

It might take getting the right agent and asking nicely, but there are ATT loyalty deals to be had if you know you're staying with ATT for the near future.

P.S. there are lots of threads about this deal stretching back two years or so, for a variety of phones.

Do you still get discount on Access fee each line? So u pay $20/line for access fee on unlimited plan?

Also no rollover data and tethering is limited it seems?

For anyone that finds this thread, go to the link below - you may not find it by search because it originated with another phone offer, but your best bet for existing ATT customers is through loyalty.

https://slickdeals.net/f/13678427-iphone-xr-64gb-with-2-year-commitment-via-at-t-loyalty-department-149-or-128gb-for-199?page=38#commentsBox

I just got two iPhone XS's for $149.99 each through ATT Loyalty, effectively $5/mo over 30 months (but charged upfront on ATT bill) with 2 year commitment. They also waived my activation fees, but that YMMV.

So you can not pay off and unlock before 30 months since you will loose credits correct?

the loyalty offer is cash purchase ($149) so there's no installment credits but there's a 2 year service agreement. If you cancel you'll pay an early termination fee (starts at $325 and declines $10 every month.) I travel to some remote areas that are original ATT service areas so I'm not changing service providers.

Ordered 3 XS Max yesterday from Walmart. I am not on unlimited and went the Walmart route.. On ATT. I was late to the Walmart party, Saturday morning. Choices available were XS 256 gb for $ 399, over 30 months., and XS Max 64 gb for $ 498. Since we use I Cloud for everything, 64 is okay for us.

Deciding factor was the Apple store said our 20 month old Max was worth a $ 500 gift card. Will use those for Applecare and an IPad.

We have Best Buy Total Tech and could get their Applecare for 20% off, but their trade in values were 20% less than the Apple store.

I did consider switching our three lines to Unlimited, and get the $ 149 deal. The math just didn't work out.

I have a question that relates to my comment above.

If I switched my three phones to unlimited, got the $ 149 deal, and then switched back, would that trigger the termination clause? Am a long time ATT customer with all ATT including Direct TV. That would change the math?

Also, could my cellular watch be counted as one of the devices? Currently pay $ 10 month for that.

One more question. Based on some comments.

Will switching from paid off phones to the 30 month plan increase my access charge?

And if so, can I immediately pay them off and reduce the access charge? I don't have faith in getting accurate answers from the ATT Phone operators.

So you pay $149/line for the xs for 2 yrs contract in Loyalty dept but how do you unlock it before 2 yrs ?

Also they req you to change to an Unlimited plan but would access fees change from$20 to $40?
