How does Tidal sound through Chromecast? Assume I have decent speakers and take that out of the equation. Does casting it make quality suffer?
Works very well through Chromecast. Assuming you go digital out of Chromecast Audio into a DAC or good receiver works at lossless bitrate. Same principle for Chromecast video except the interface is HDMI.

I use Tidal this way throughout my house and to multiple Chromecast Audio and Video devices.

One thing to note: MQA doesn't work over Chromecast, so it will default to CD quality lossless when streamed to Chromecast.

There's a sucker ... and fanboy ... born every minute.
Are you just that hurt, that you have to pay for MQA for their highest res, that you feel the need to bash it? I've used Qobuz too. Tidal had more selection, while not necessarily on a "hi res" platform. You sound like a petulant child. Competition is a good thing.

Why do you hate YouTube premium?
I don't like paying for subscription things, the Google music radio stations aren't as dynamic and don't suggest good new music like Pandora, the YouTube music app is ugly (but I haven't used it for several months) and I don't like Google's policies. But I hate watching ads on YouTube. So for me it's a thing I hate but need.

Worth it for free for the Masters albums. They sound really good. Put the cancel date in your phone calendar.

Tidal is horrible. Specially since Jay-Z and Beyoncé have ownership.
Wait, what's your issue with Jay-Z and Beyonce? Be honest.

That's just a blatant lie, unless you can provide a link to an album that has this issue you should delete your post.
Not saying whether the poster is right or wrong. But, an album likely won't display such an issue since all tracks in a given album would have been recorded the same way. It's when you have a playlist of different artists, you may notice different volume levels, especially if it's a playlist mix of various Master and Hi-Fi songs.

To be fair, Tidal does lean noticeably to Hip Hop and Rap relative to most other streaming services.

I got in on the Tmobile Tuesday's deal and so far I like it. It doesn't have international music options as much like Spotify does. But what I really liked is the option to view music videos. They are awesome added value compared to other services. There are limited concert videos but its amazing to be able to view those in HD quality. You can likely find some clips of those concert videos on YouTube but they are usually not good quality and definitely not a full length either. I didnt even know this was Jayz and Beyonces venture but it doesnt really change my perspective of this. Its not like they're recommending or forcing me to listen to their music. I do think that price is quite steep but I'm all for the 90 days free trial Smilie

Try Qobuz. Similar level of lossless quality as Tidal. If you're not as much into hip hop, Qobuz has a slightly larger eclectic catalog of international, classical, jazz, etc.
And Qobuz is $5 cheaper per month than Tidal for all plan options.

use paypal or prepaid cc
Just curious...If I cancel recurring payment in paypal (under payments in paypal), will that actually stop vendors capability to charge next payment? Even if it does, will the customer be still responsible for the new charges?
