When does this offer end?
I've never seen an offer expiration date with them. Seems like they just cut it when they get the amount of subscribers they want.

It is awful for sure. But hey, you can't beat free.

I don't get why people are complaining about how much this costs. This offer is 3 months free. So there is no cost. I don't care for the hip hop focus on the home page, and it's a bummer it doesn't work with Google home, but by cycling through emails, I've been using these constant tidal offers to get close to a year of playing any song I want, ad free, for about 8 dollars, which seems like a pretty good deal to me.

TU OP

Tidal is indeed hip-hop heavy with suggestions and I thought it was just me because I selected it in their music survey. The recommendations aren't that good and yes Jay-Z is promoted a lot (not a fan of his).

Another way around the automatic billing is to use a virtual credit card number with a $ limit. I used Citi Card. It is a valid cc # so the free trial works but it will not let Tidal charge the $20 and no need to cancel the subscription.

Tidal Masters is an interesting offering but most people won't have the right equipment to take advantage. Many older albums (more than 5 years old) aren't available in this quality.

The interface looks awfully similar to Spotify, weren't they first to the music streaming game?

I was using Tidal HiFi for a few years, but changed to Qobuz since they reduced the price.

MQA does not sound good as uncompressed audio data of Qobuz.
Qobuz is $15/month, cheaper.
Both apps suck, but Tidal is a bit better. I use Audirvana.
The song collection is about the same, better classical on Qobuz, annd better pops on Tidal.

Free three month subscription is great, and you can churn new accounts with different email addresses.

Thanks OP. Don't really have a need for another service, since I sub to record pools and listen more to Bandcamp, Soundcloud, and radio apps and have over 1 TB of music and growing.

Because Tidal is discriminated. They are also considered to be a HipHop streamer, which is not true, but it is true that their front page is always full of HipHop.

I'm on the t-mobile free trial with Tidal right now. While I prefer a few other streaming music service, Tidal is decent. The main reason I don't like it as much is that it doesn't auto-start in my car with the Google Drive app like other apps have. Other than that, no real complaints.

Tidal is nice but nothing close to what Spotify has to offer in volume. Most of the selection in Tidal are R&B and Hip Hop, not whole lot of Work from Home music for concentration. I paid 4 bucks for 4 months on the last deal but likely wont renew it because of not enough genres.

Signed up to demo the Atmos stuff on my HT. Sad at how few titles have support.

You might not even have to create a new email all together if you use Gmail. Just insert periods at different spots. E.mail@gmail is the same as Em.ail@gmail. You can even try ema.il+tidal@gmail but some sites don't allow that.
