It does run android apps, though my m3 version, some apps like call of duty would crash but remember it's chrome os first and tablet later
Oh well that is good to know. I wish I could find some reviews of the gaming side of this thing. I'd like to be able to carry one thing with me and game on a larger screen.

I would not game on this. Thing is on EMMC storage. Great for battery life, bad for performance.

Gaging apps on the playstore did not work well. Prone to crashes. Unless you want to use stadia or GeForce now

No one has mentioned it, but this is a dead-end product. There will be no new version. Its abandoned. Supported by warranty, but abandoned as a product line.

THAT SAID, I bought one ~4 months ago when it was on SD. We LOVE it. Its one of the few tech purchases where you will be surprised by the value of the deal. Highly recommended.

I prefer this deal over the one I actually bought. I got the i5/8GB version with free pen and keyboard. Honestly, i could do without the pen. The keyboard is nice to have, but nothing that can't be replaced easily with the closest cheap bluetooth keyboard. I've never felt it was underpowered, but who doesn't prefer a higher end chip and twice the ram. I paid $599, for reference.

EDIT --- I'm buying one. My second.

I jumped on the Best Buy price mistake m3 bundle back in September for $300ish. It's been great for web surfing/consuming media. I'm sure this i7 is significantly stronger than mine but it also depends what systems you need to run.. I do recommend that you get the keyboard case. I don't recommend this for use just as a tablet. But for a laptop replacement that'll occasionally be used as a tablet, it's great.

Odd. VLC supports 265 on my MacBook Pro. Must be a video chip thing. Bummer.

Besides the issue I had above, the Slate is a premium product. Only thing I disliked about it was it was too big for me, 12' is awkward imo also was heavy. Not a lot of accessories either.

Just a heads up, Ive had nothing but problems ordering from Adorama based out of NY.

Ordered an ipad from them through ebay a few years ago arrived in a generic box with no charger, and a cracked screen. They refused to refund me or accept the return.

Ordered a desktop pc from them via amazon back in Jan that was $400 cheaper than retail on msi's website. It arrived with no graphics card, different color panels where the gpu was supposed to be boot issues and the case was scratched. Item was mailed back in February and they didnt respond to amazon or myself until May. They purposely waited so I couldnt dispute.
Refused to adhere to amazon's atoz guarantee. They claimed they were open during the pandemic and never received the item for three months. They removed the return label from Amazon and refused to respond to Amazon when they called them directly.

They would respond to my emails and mock me and lie that the item was no longer for sale. It was still on sale on newegg(via adorama) and on msi's website. They didnt respond when i linked them to it.

They saw the atoz and refunded me half of the money but Amazon's atoz says they should give me full refund. Amazon refuses to refund because it was a third party seller and it will "count as a strike against them" despite having multiple reviews similar to mine on amazon and ebay.

Filed a BBB report and they replied they got a computer with "half the hard drive space as advertised" returned and said they didn't respond to Amazon's atoz guarantee (back in early may) because of a "Jewish holiday, the store was closed for the weekend."

BBB had them respond and they said they wont refund. Nothing has happened since.

There are tons of similar complaints and reviews to mine. Do not do business with this scam of a site. They will send you the wrong prodcut

This is such a dun and misinformed comment. How is this a dead end product???? It has guaranteed support until July 2026 so at least 6more years. Mine runs flawlessly and I use it as virtual desktop to work everyday. I can't recommend it enough.
Its almost like you didn't read where I said "supported by warranty" or any of the lower 2/3rd of my comment. Reading is recommended before replying.
