Feels like the lenovo duet is a suitable alternative to this.
Tried that too. This thing feels premium while the slate feels ok and you can tell the little bits of lag much easier on the duet.

I have the m3 version with Brydge G type keyboard. Highly recommend getting the Brydge keyboard (I got for $80) as the Google keyboard is no good if you wish to work with this on any non flat surface such as your lap. Mine is used 99% of time with the keyboard. It's quite awkward to use this as a tablet - due to large size and being heavy.

Also this does play Android apps - but most Android apps won't work well as they are almost exclusively designed for Android phones and not tablets. You will see frequent crashes, slowness, input issues, stretchiness, etc. - but can probably work for occasional app use. Would avoid using this for Android gaming too

Just a heads up, Ive had nothing but problems ordering from Adorama based out of NY.

Ordered an ipad from them through ebay a few years ago arrived in a generic box with no charger, and a cracked screen. They refused to refund me or accept the return.

Ordered a desktop pc from them via amazon back in Jan that was $400 cheaper than retail on msi's website. It arrived with no graphics card, different color panels where the gpu was supposed to be boot issues and the case was scratched. Item was mailed back in February and they didnt respond to amazon or myself until May. They purposely waited so I couldnt dispute.
Refused to adhere to amazon's atoz guarantee. They claimed they were open during the pandemic and never received the item for three months. They removed the return label from Amazon and refused to respond to Amazon when they called them directly.

They would respond to my emails and mock me and lie that the item was no longer for sale. It was still on sale on newegg(via adorama) and on msi's website. They didnt respond when i linked them to it.

They saw the atoz and refunded me half of the money but Amazon's atoz says they should give me full refund. Amazon refuses to refund because it was a third party seller and it will "count as a strike against them" despite having multiple reviews similar to mine on amazon and ebay.

Filed a BBB report and they replied they got a computer with "half the hard drive space as advertised" returned and said they didn't respond to Amazon's atoz guarantee (back in early may) because of a "Jewish holiday, the store was closed for the weekend."

BBB had them respond and they said they wont refund. Nothing has happened since.

There are tons of similar complaints and reviews to mine. Do not do business with this scam of a site. They will send you the wrong prodcut
Ebay sides with the buyer like 90% of the time if they are unhappy with what was received. You didn't get a refund through ebay for the damaged product?

Wow, that is CRAZY bad business practice. Sounds almost pathological. I assume you were polite and did nothing to get them riled up? You didn't cuss them out or threaten them so they would have a vendetta against you?

BBB says they have an A+ rating. I'm confused. A lot of bad sounding complaints on there. https://www.bbb.org/us/ny/new-yor...complaints

They sell a Pixel Pen in either blue (to match the Slate's color) or silver. Similar to what the Apple Pencil is to the iPad Pro/Air.

The Pixel Slate has some issues but for this price, they can be overlooked.

Ebay has gone to shit the last few years. They sided with them because i had no way to prove they sent me a broken item. Ebay wouldnt give me a refund because adorama refused the return. I mailed it bakc with my own money, showed ebay the tracking and they told me too bad. This was almost 2 1/2 years ago.

if i'd paid a dollar more than what I did for the m3/keyboard best buy SD many of us got, I would feel ripped off. It's too heavy as a tablet - and chromeos is a crappy tab experience - so the keyboard is a must. And at this OP price plus keyboard, you're better off with a Dell 2-in-1 for a laptop where you can run whatever os you want.

Unless you have a very specific use case, I'd suggest passing on this one.
