Don't forget to check your electricity provider for a rebate, in my case ComEd is issuing 50$ per dehumidifier rebate. Was able to apply for 3

Hmm I am trying to decide as well. They both are about the same size and energy efficient hmm...

Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunately (and surprisingly), no dice in Oregon.

MUCH better return policy with Costco if you haven't factored that in yet.

I own the Costco / Danby one, and prior to buying it compared it to the Best Buy / Insignia one. I believe they are both made by the same manufacturer and are functionally the same, except the Costco one includes a pump and comes with a 2-year warranty instead of the 1-year warranty of the Insignia one.

Does Costco allow you to buy at 5% premium at local store if your membership expired?

I put a Kill-a-watt meter on my Danby dehumidifier just recently (which I believe is the same machine as the Insignia, just rebadged) and it appears in my limited testing so far it uses under $25 of electricity per month in my basement.

My basement without dehumidifier is extremely humid so I keep the machine set at 55% just to keep the humidity (and my electric bill) under control.
