Dear Slickdeals community,

We hear you and have also heard your concerns regarding incomplete orders of toner cartridges in connection with the purchase of certain refurbished imageCLASS printers made between 6/16/20 and 6/24/20. We regret any confusion with respect to this purchase. This promotion was very popular and exceeded our expectations and as a result, we have temporarily exhausted our toner cartridge supply, and so we are working hard to complete order delivery as fast as possible. Weare currently finalizing estimated shipping dates.

Everyone who made an eligible purchase will be receiving an email in the near future with more detail, but rest assured that those who made eligible purchases will receive two sets of color toner including cyan, magenta, yellow and black (for eligible color printer purchases) and two black toner cartridges (for eligible black and white printer purchases).

We appreciate your patience and your patronage, please know that we are doing everything we can to rectify the situation as expediently as possible.

Thank you,

The Canon Team

Looks like Starter Plus Full Cartridges.
I was wondering the same thing about that.

That would seal the deal for me if I was certain.
The starter cartridge stuff looks like it might just be copy/pasted from the original listing.

What part are you reading that makes they are "starter", they're not the extra capacity. But they seem more than the 500 page starter ones you get sometimes. (I think that's what the OP means).

The non-refurb does come with starter carts https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/e...er-printer [canon.com] (see "what's included page")

I'm trying to figure out if the refurb comes with starter and standard. The "what's included page" says starter, but top of page in main desription clearly(?) looks like a set of standard.
Generally the refurbs do come with starter cartridges, but for these specific printers Canon is including full cartridges as a bonus.

As far as the included toner goes the way I read it, by looking at the "What's Included" tab, is the CMY are the starter size and the black is the standard size.

If I hadn't bought the HP that was on sale a while back I'd jump on this.

The top mentions special offers and images of "+ 4 toners" and the bottom of page one in "overview" says "This product comes with two free gifts which includes a set of standard CMYK toner cartridges (valued at $278*) and a 2-year extended service plan (valued at $55*) to provide three years of service coverage. "

So you're thinking/hoping 8 cartridges, right?

For home office, would you all recommend 743 over 644 or 644 is good enough?
Go for the 743. I have the previous model 733 and duplex scanning is awesome

The D570 listing claims it comes with a "Free Toner 121", but that model uses a 137 which matches the photo.

Likely just a typo, but still...

I'm in IT for ages, never saw a Printer that doesn't come with Starter Toner... If they don't send it, I have a screenshot to prove to Canon and I will get my way Wink

644 is also duplex scanning, also 1 pass 2 side scanning too. I think 743 is little faster n has more paper capacity.

Yes you are right. Must be the previous gen where the lesser model only did one side. Definitely good deal

Note the recommended print volumes below:

B/W:
D570: 150 - 2500 Pages / Month
D1620: 2000 - 7500 Pages / Month

Color:
MF644: 150 - 2500 Pages / Month
MF743: 750 - 4000 Pages / Month

It is better for the printer's longevity when used within its rated output. So if your printing needs are fairly light, and you don't need the extra PPM, then between these printers you should choose the "lower" rated one. Besides that, the larger ones take up substantially more space.
