each of the 5 Hisense sets I've owned in the past 6 months have had some type of issue. Flickering, backlight, software, remote, etc. One of the 5 didn't even turn on out of the box.
Never again...
At the risk of being flamed by the OLED police again...

I have this TV in my bedroom and a OLED B8 in my main room. The picture quality of this is not far off the quality of the OLED. And the Dolby Atmos sound iis way better than I imagined (I'm used to a dedicated surround sound system).

Waiting for the 65" to drop, and $380 for this 50" is not bad

Yes. Actually, in the 65" class, a Hisense H9G might be more cost-efficient.

This deal seems A LOT better than the 58" Hisense TV, even if its about a $100 more, I think its worth it with all the features.

I've been looking for TVs around this size for a while, and this is the best I've found so far.

TCL 525's were about the same price and not nearly as good, and Vizio M series aren't in stock anywhere.

I have placed the order of 55" for $499.99 from BestBuy few days ago and now waiting to receive the TV. I have also ordered H8F (2019) model from Costco for $380 which I may return because for extra 120 I believe its worth to have a newer model with Quantum color.

Good timing, since my Vizio P50-C1 just died.

In for 1, thanks OP!

Specs say this is 240hz, is that true 240hz or is it upscaled to fake 240hz?

The H8F is a really nice TV for $380 if thats the 55" model, I'm not a costco member but I'd probably buy that if I were. Is that the price for 55"? It makes you log in just to see.

For under $400 you have your pick of a few low end 55-58" models but the H8F was always higher end.

edit: Sheesh apparently very briefly for some reason this TV in 55" was $50 cheaper in May? Does anyone know why? I'd hate to wait around waiting for it to drop but it never does.

Good luck with that, Best Buy seems to be selling a lot of things they don't even have in stock, nor do they know when they will be back in stock. It's bad, because they're actually having my Best Buy sales with these items.

Anyone have any idea what processor they run in these? I saw a comment on Amazon that stated it's a four core processor, but Google couldn't give me the exact processor.
