This is a great deal! I paid $90 for it last winter. Would buy another if I weren't planning to install a whole house humidifier before winter.

This is a nice discount.

The unit itself leaves a lot to be desired. No remote control, too bright blue led lights, hard to find filters in the stores.

looks like a solid deal. just curious (own 4 humidifiers that are ultrasonic vaporizers) what is the benefit of getting this one? is it the fact that it somewhat purifies the air by capturing some particles?

If you have hard water, doesn't leave residue on your furniture.

Also it uses less energy because it's just a fan.

The filter doesn't catch any real dust, it's more like one of those cross hatch fence looking things.

I had this unit and it eventually started leaking. It was also really expensive for the filters. It's not worth the investment even though I did like that it humidified well.

I bought but added the warranty on since it seems common for this thing to break after a few months.

I bought 4 of these for my house - 2 bedrooms and 2 living rooms. They do this weird thing where they start and stop constantly. Like it will turn on and run for a few seconds, then turn off, then turn back on. It was so annoying we eventually donated them all to goodwill.

It's good at humidifying but those $10 air wicks only last about a month before you start see how nasty and moldy they look. I've tried to soak them in bleach and even vinegar another time but just don't last very long. Something to keep in mind.

LOL I had a small bit of PTSD when I saw this post appear on my feed.

I had this exact unit and unless you seat the reservoir just right when placing it back in the unit, it starts leaking, and will flush all 1.7 gallons onto wherever you have placed it fast.

If the seal mechanism at the bottom gets water in it while you are refilling, it seems to start leaking.

If it doesn't like the water your using, it starts leaking.

If you look at it wrong, it starts leaking.

Joking aside, I had to replace ~$750 of flooring because of this leaky piece of junk.
