Newbie on gaming laptops. Don't game much and when I do it isn't the newest and greatest game. Is this a good price for the specs?

Plus the $120 back for purchases over $600 promo on Amex card is tempting.

How do you get the Amex cash back?

Not really. Low end gpu and quad core not hex core Intel processor. 2x4 gig ram sticks. 2x8 would be a lot better for 16 gig

The graphics card is ok if you are looking to game at 30FPS at 1920x1080. The bigger issue nowadays is the storage. Some games like COD Warzone take almost 200GB!

For $100, you can add a new 1TB SSD. I'm looking for a casual gaming laptop that can game and do work at the same time. Is this strong enough for that if I bump it to 32GB of RAM?

This isn't a good price for the specs because all I see is entry level gaming laptops for $1500+? Is it a bad laptop or a bad price for this laptop?

I wouldn't want to pay much more than $500 for these specs

That's an Acer. That would be like if I asked you to link me to a car for $15,000 and you sent me a link to a Nissan with the same horsepower. That's a piece of garbage masquerading as a computer.

I honestly would just as soon have an Acer as a Dell G3. The G3 is the low end of the Dell gaming laptops.

I did what you asked.

I had and an Acer predator. I enjoyed it very much for gaming.
