What? Lol. Laowa are leaders in modern day lens design.

edit now that I've finished laughing: it's called zero-D for ZERO DISTORTION.

Now it may have very subtle distortion, it is better than any other brand at this focal length. So no, they aren't comparable to whatever brand, they surpass it.

Which for anyone trying to get into astro-photography is perfectly normal since auto-focus to infinity is a useless feature for that discipline.

Before I had kids I probably would have bought this for my landscapes. Now I never get to go hiking and even if I did I wouldn't have enough time to try and manually focus. Here's to you 17-28
