Can you elaborate on what kind of issues you have? I've had these deadbolts for about 4 years with no issues to report.

Can the dead bolts be re-keyed to use your existing keys like the "smart key" feature on the kwikset locks?

Only if you have a Schlage lock with the same key type. These deadbolts do not use conventional keys. They are longer and have an extra pin on the side to help prevent bumping/picking.

Yes, originals would need to be other schlage locks

Smh. Mine started giving me issues already it's like 6 months old.

update: when I press schlage all of the sudden it just doesn't lock anymore. no attempt what so ever. i think I just get the single button press beep. i have to open the door, use the manual lock, then manually unlock, and then it seems to respond again.

Haven't had a problem with multiple sets in this house. There are some things that can go wrong though, the most likely would be slightly off-center door that wears the open/close mechanism.

It says that smart home hub required. Do I need to buy additional item to work this with my WiFi at home?

are these all pretty functionality similar - just have to choose the look that you like and go from there?

We have Smartthings hub and Alexa, if that matters

These don't use WiFi. They use Z-wave. You will need a hub to interface. Like SmartThings, Hubitat, etc.
