Let's hope the trolls stay out of this thread, as we've seen from the woot Americana t-shirt deal, they love to discuss t-shirt politics.

This seems like a solid deal with free pickup before July 4.

None available at my Kohls. Has Kohls always had a $75 for free shipping policy? That seems really high compared to most stores.

Yes, that's their standard and then every other month or so they have a free shipping code.

I understand that perhaps you are trying to say that people should be nice.

But you can't expect non political comments on political products.

If the shirt shows flag and celebrates a war that started in 1775 - it is political. If woot shirt shows smiley face that shows face mask on it - it is delivering a statement and it is political.

Honestly, being nice to people and get a long with others IS politics. It is not a negative word. Being a dick and troll IS not nice.

Same here.
Yes, but in more than 5 years I do not know if I paid once for shipping because most of the times there were free shipping codes. Or if I had to pay for shipping (~$8-$9) than for sure I had at least a 30% code that discounted a larger expense to compensate...

That rabbit hole only goes as deep as your tin foil hat will allow. When I see that smiley face with a patriotic mask shirt it implies that the fourth of July is a worthy holiday even during a pandemic. It commemorates this year's Fourth of July. It doesn't mean let's talk about possible politics behind it all. Nor does this site support all of that. It's a t-shirt not a new amendment to the Constitution. There is not reason to discuss the politics of it because the politics are just assumed conjecture. The shirts in this deal and the woot deal all celebrate the Fourth of July. They aren't divisive. They aren't antogonistic. They cover your top and have a design that supports the US.

Would you entertain a discussion in a Fourth of July shirt thread about non-Fourth of July shirts? Then why entertain a discussion about the pandemic, US politics, if it doesn't reflect directly on the price, quality, or company selling these shirts?

Notice I haven't stated my political affiliation, my stance on masks, or any other factor that may detract from the discussion of these shirts.

Do I like these shirts? I do. They are simple and for 3 bucks they are practically unbeatable by price. And lots of people are trying to find new, creative ways to celebrate this Fourth of July, many people may want to purchase a shirt to help feel patriotic especially with everything happening in the United States today.

Some people come to Slickdeals to get a break from the 30 minute news cycles and constant, depressing discussions of politics.

And above all, like you mentioned, if everyone were kind to one another, we'd have a more pleasant experience altogether.

I agree but people being online, incognito triggers all the side effects that comes with it. Good talk tho, thanks. Reminds me XKCD comic where a person doesn't go to sleep because someone is wrong on the internet Smilie

You seem very nice. I wish I could buy you a 3 dollar ladies t-shirt celebrating American freedom in solidarity. But that's just weird. Smilie
