I have the smaller version of this cabinet and it truly was a pain to assemble.

Purchased one from Lowe's for pickup. The box was nice. One tiny ding on a shelf, but nothing to complain about. Put it together in 90 minutes. Only needed help tipping it up. The directions are straightforward. Once the fasteners are tightened down, it's nice and solid.

One item to note, the top and bottom corner carriage bolts required a cardboard shim between the sheet metal and the flat washer. The combined sheet metal thickness of the red outer metal is about 1/32" thinner, causing the washer to hit the shoulder. Once the shims were in place all was well. I'd honestly put this down to tolerances.

Kobalt unit also on sale for same price if anyone prefers Kobalt over Craftsman. I can not speak to any difference in quality

So interesting how all the comments are negative yet it has 19 thumbs up. SD is something else sometimes.

RE Craftsman vs Gladiator vs Kobalt

After looking at each on Lowe's site, I'd go with the Kobalt.

The Gladiator's only hold 50lb / shelf while both the Kobalt and Craftsman hold 100lb / shelf.

Thanks for the tip on the Kobalt Jhearty99!

I see this all the time on SD now. Looks like SD props up threads to make more sles so they get more affiliate cash back from their sponsored vendors.

I've had mine since 2009, not sure if the materials used have changed (from the sounds of it they might have) but mine has been solid this whole time.
