For what it's worth, these are excellent, absolutely a good value at $17 - the bits in my set are all true and my 3/8 is still sharp after drilling >50 holes in 1/8" aluminum (lubed with windex).

These bits have been great for me as well. I bought a set of Ryobi bits previously and half have snapped in half on me under very little effort, the Makita are going strong and I haven't snapped any. They drill easily and tend not to get as hot as other bits going through a lot of hardwood.

I think all drill bits break during a small tilt.

Ha, I saw this at $14.88 on Amazon (days ago), and noticed HD had the same price - never posted it because I originally purchased this for $11.00 in Feb 2019 (it was on SD at the time). At any rate, if you put this in your Amazon cart, I've noticed Amazon has moved it to $14.88 and back over $17 a couple times in the last few days.

The above said, this is a nice set for your impact drill... and the Makita carrying case is very solid and well made as well. It was a crazy good deal at $11, but still a solid buy at $14.88 whether you get it at HD or Amazon.

** Update - as I was stating, Amazon dropped their price to $14.88 (345 PM EST). So, those of you that would prefer free shipping via Prime, you can get it on Amazon.

Any good place to get smaller bits 1/8" and few smaller sizes. Tend to break these more often and don't want to get full set all the time only to have several of the other bigger sizes remain. Other than eBay I mean for quality ones

HF has often sold loose impact drill bit sets (ie - no case) on sale very cheap... I know, as I've purchase at least 2 sets. I just can't seem to recall where I placed any of them.

Here ya go (think these went on sale via coupon for about $3 or $4... 20% coupon makes them only $5.59):
