I bought this recently and it really works for me. The clamp isn't as tight as I'd like it so when I plug and unplug things, it moves, but the convenience is great. I have a standing desk so when I adjust it, I had some cables that would be too tight or pull out. No longer an issue with this. 😊
That's the picture of the USB C model. Otherwise thanks!

I really enjoy mine too. I bought 2 recently and it brings wall warts closer to the desk so the USB cable doesn't have to reach as far.

I'm going to put the second one on my bedframe so I don't have to reach and fumble for cables at night.

I'm thinking about the same scenario but the cable is short. Any suggestions on how to address this? Standard extension cable to the base of your desk?

Any hacks to fix the clamping issue? Even pulling the iPhone adapter would cause the whole unit to come loose from desk. Otherwise I think it works fine!

Im guessing you'd have to take the thing apart and try to macgyver the spring to be tighter. Or you could measure the gap between your desk and the plastic, and make some sort of custom fit plug out of whatever (wood, cork, insulation, etc). Probably more trouble than it's worth, I think other brands clamp better.

I don't understand the fixation this site has with these UPC surge protectors. I purchase one: they are awkward and bulky and honestly not that good of a price for three AC outlets and a couple of non-PD USB outlets.

Unless it has USB-C with 45W+ PD that you can charge laptop, I would wait.
