Wow, the store actually pulled the items I ordered. My store has been horrible about picking pick-up orders in a reasonable timeframe. Sometimes it will take days. No idea what happened, but two years ago their 20-min turnaround time went to hell.

Anyway, I guess I got the 1.2-in. What am I going to use it for? LOL. Every tool eventually finds a use, but not sure about this specialty tool. Hmmm ....

you bought a 5 blade crimper for HVAC work and don't have a use/idea what you're going to be using for..? it ain't a cutter, Lowe's website name is misleading, it's literally made for joining pieces of sheet metal piping together. the smaller one is for cutting V notches in sheet metal.

neither of which will ever be used by a general homeowner Wink

OP, you should update the title/description, Lowe's names are very misleading...
LENOX 0.82in is a 1'' V Notcher
LENOX 1.2-in is a 5 Blade Crimper

both of which aren't what people generally call "Steel Snips" and tools 99% of homeowners will never ever have a use for.

Lowe's is terrible in fulfilling orders. 80% of my orders were cancelled, even those not on clearance get messed up.

When I do get a "your order is ready for pickup" email, after arriving at the store and waited in line, they will then send someone to pull the order from the shelves or warehouse. Isn't ready for pickup supposed to mean it's already waiting in the pickup area and not "come on in so we can keep you waiting while we go look"?

No, I saw what it was used for - and I don't have a need for it right now, no doubt. But who knows ... I find unique, alternative uses for tools all the time, and at this price it makes some sense to throw in the "one day I'll need it" tool box. Come on, it's another tool, cheap! Can't resist!

It's because they take so long to pick your order off the shelf that some other SDer has already come to the store and bought it out before your order is picked. It's happened to me endless times, that's why I was surprised they filled it so fast this morning.

If you are not a hvac pro and just do some small projects, menards have these tin snapper under $3 hand tools bin. They are sharp and very useful. Everyday price $2.99.

Typically used for fabrication before braking the metal.
