Still available as of posting on Amazon.com [amazon.com]
Price: $1499.00

This is pretty hot! I have not seen any OLED laptops for this cheap before
must be clearing out the prev gen CPU but I think it is still plenty powerful enough for heavy-duty productivity

SCREEN: 15.6" AMOLED (Samsung panel) 4K UHD with 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy + Pantone certified (individually calibrated)
CPU: Core i7 i7-9750H
GPU: GTX 1660 Ti
RAM: 16GB DDR4
SSD: 512GB NVMe PCIe
BATTERY: 94WH = 8.5 hours or so in PCMark 10

aluminum alloy CNC chassis, thin bezels, full numpad on a 15.6", fingerprint reader, plenty of ports...etc it ticks most of the boxes

seeing how 4800H and 4900H CPUs tend to overheat many of the laptops, this seems like a safe choice
Gigabyte seems to have good thermals lately (compared to ASUS)

Not really a deal. I think this is only $100 off MSRP. Right now, if you have a Microcenter in your local area, you can find this for $1200 or less, open box (which are usually in almost brand new condition, judging by the numerous ones I've bought).

The $1,099.99 deal from the other day was much better, given that if you're buying this, it's probably not for pure gaming performance and the 1650 is a capable card any non-gaming productivity work you could have (or for light gaming with settings turned down on AAA titles, 1080p+ gaming on older titles, etc...)

Now, if this dropped another $200, then we'd be looking at a smoking hot deal!...and I think they will drop further. Just need to be patient.

The OP's laptop is 4k OLED. Is the Microcenter model the exact same model?

Yes. Open box though, and prices, condition, and availability are pretty ymmv.

Still, this has been $1300 new so no one should call it a deal at $1500

OK...

Looking for a 17.3" (WITH THIS SCREEN... but 17.3") with AMD Ryzon 9 CPU for about $1,100.00. Question... how many years will I have to wait?

Personally I would not purchase any laptop for $1500 with a 1660Ti. Unless you are really into the 4K OLED display and not really much gaming.
For about the same price, you can get a machine with an i7 and a RTX 2060 or 2070, depending on the model of the laptop.
Also you wont be able to play anything in 4k anyway since the 1660Ti wouldn't be able to handle it. Especially when the 2060 cant really do it.

Last year, i purchased a Alienware m15 with the same CPU and memory. But with the higher end 2060 GPU for about this same price. Brand new, right from Dell.

4K screens are nice and especially when they are OLED. But I just dont think there is a price justification for it in laptops yet. Especially if you use it for gaming.

Not too bad though if you dont game and would rather have the higher quality screen over the GPU and refresh rate.
