I have a 10GB network at home and file transfers between local device is stupid fast. All my servers and PCs have 10GB cards. Once you experience 10GB file transferring you won't go back. I work with large files since I do a lot of digital content work.
It does not. The DS1819+ (or DS1618+) are the smallest desktop form factors that support 10G add-in cards

My GoogleFu is off, can't seem to find something stating whether you can add a 10gbe card to this.

Nice drop. Tempting to get this, but considering the new DS920+ since it has a slightly better CPU.

Now we just need a deal on 6TB or 8TB NAS drives that aren't SMR.

Doesnt seem to support 10Gbe, limited by lanes but 5Gbe speed is possibility, would be interesting to see if E10M20-T1 works with it though not supported officially.

further research shows no 10gbe due to lack of PCIe

good price. But the obvious question is, should we wait for new models coming out soon?

New models will only be 2 and 4 bay, keep that in mind. That makes RAID 5 kinda hurt more

Does not support 10GB card makes me not want to get this. If it did, I would get it in a heart beat.

Worst case scenario you buy and return the other. Typically 30 day returns on Amazon. I did the same with mine not too long ago. This is a fantastic little unit for the price.
