Here's some technical info for yalls:

For those of you that need to nitty gritty technical info, please see the FCC test page attachments here: https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&called... [fcc.gov]

In case the hyperlink is ruined by all the usual shinanigans, here's the text url:

REMOVE THE BRACKETS [https]://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=iR8Mje7OmmRXzQG3qqrFXQ%3D%3D&fcc_id=2ANJHWVOD1

The attachments include pictures of the unit exterior, interior components, the user manual, and RF information.
-SD card slot in on camera and also in base station.
-Camera can be used without base station in a "travel mode." Just make sure to have an SD card loaded. Base station also has a "travel mode," so if you wanted to, you can access up to 4 cameras using the base station's wifi network to connect to your phone and view footage from the app.
-Battery is not easily accessible, must be disassembled, but it is connected to the mainboard via a plug (so could be replaceable by a DIYer if we can find the right replacements).
-The camera has a charge port on the back to recharge the battery. Charging can be done with the camera either on or off, and can even be used normally while plugged in. But you should never leave your Wyze Cam Outdoor plugged into power while it's outside. Bring it indoors first.
-No continuous recording. Instead, cooldown is now 1 minute between recordings but recording time is still 12 seconds. This is for battery life reasons.

Recommend you all read through their information sections for the Outdoor. It answers a lot of the questions I see sprout up here:

I have it, highly recommend it, it's pretty awesome Smilie

Connect base station via ethernet to your router, place the wireless camera within it's WiFi range (2.4GHz), battery lasts a few months.

Motion detection works differently than in V2, uses motions sensor instead of image detection.

Does that mean no person detection?

Hi, is there a way to keep it wired for power? I don't want the hassle of changing batteries every few months.

Looks like an awesome product for tossing in my backyard for catching wild animals. I wouldn't want to use it around my house if I can help it. A POE camera is much more reliable, my existing Wyze cameras miss a lot of events that my PIR sensors catch, not sure if a Wifi or other issue.

Might pick one up if they can list the distance between base station and camera that's supported.

Pass. 1080. Why can't we get 4k in this day of age?
Hard for a battery device.

neat. the 3 normal wyze cames I have not outside under my sofit have held up well. working in -20 degree (actual air temp) and up to 100 degree temps with no issues.
Have 2 spaces that I'd like to add cams that don't have power near by so these would work out great.
