Hey all,

Dewalt 7485 8 1/2'' Table Saw No Stand - Amazon

Back on sale this time for $279. I ended up diving into the deal because I have some projects and really don't think I need a 10'' right now.

Guess I'll trade up later.

I've seen a lot of barely used 7485s on OfferUp/Facebook marketplace for $240. Not sure if someone is getting them cheap or people just don't like them.

I haven't been able to find that rigid table saw anywhere.

I want to know too. I could get slightly used 7485 for $220 or r4818 (no stand) for $190. Rack and pinon is nice but the Ridgid has a normal 10inch blade and takes dados.

Looking at reviews it seems like someone was able to use a 1/4" dado blade on this.

Worst case, you run the wood several times to remove a full dado. If you have ridges, you can sand them down. Not ideal, but worth saving a bit of money.

You guys, it's been this price on Amazon since the last time it was posted. I'm pretty sure this is just the new standard price for this now. I've been holding out for the 10 inch though

I have that stand and unless you plan to never take it off the stand, the stand is worthless. It requires four bolts to take the saw on and off the stand. For a "job site" tool this is unacceptable to me. I don't use this saw for work but the reason I wanted a job site one is that I wanted something I could quickly pull the tool out make one cut if I needed to and put it back. I hate tools that require a lot of setup because I find I only use them for a big project. I will most likely be purchasing a more portable stand.
