Looks just as good as all of the other Staples 2TB Seagate Expansion Hard Drives Deals that have been up here.

Past SlickDeals - Staples 2TB Seagate Expansion Hard Drive Deals

Most average 50+ Thumbs Up

Of course, most include the Thread Crappers who like to come in and tell the story of their 10 year old Seagate that failed on them back in 2009...and how WD is sooooooo much better! Whatever!

OP, this is a great deal on a solid expansion Hard Drive....not as good as a past 5TB Seagate Staples Deal...but this will hold its own.

Thanks
For those with Amex Offers....There is a 10% back Amex Offer (up to $50) out there.
I didn't realize it was on my card until checkout....Every little bit helps!

Well... I got a similar 2 TB portable a few weeks ago for ~$50, and was pretty happy (though I was hoping that it was the better deal I saw here), until the day before yesterday, when it decided that it was unformatted.
I can restore the data, but it's a pita, and worse, I'm convinced that the HDD is unreliable and will need to be replaced.

Yes, should be fine. I don't have this exact model but similar 2TB portables; all have worked with no problems.

...figured I'd ask here of the gamers:

- would this also work for X-Box type game systems too?

You shouldn't have any problems with any other system. I didn't even have to reformat mine for storage.

YMMV -- not on my account.

I think the best I have from a credit card is Discover cashback at 15% bonus. (which is better than 10%, but limited to cashback on hand.)

Only issue with this is to do with the 1yr warranty if that matters to you.

Competing drives have 2 or 3 year depending on brand
