I bought this a few weeks ago at the same price. The bench drop ships from the manufacturer. Fedex handled the package poorly and there were holes in the box, but the bench itself was undamaged. Overall, it's a nicely built bench. It allows multiple angles (printed on the steel) and can fold up for storage. Pretty happy with it so far.

One concern is that it's made for taller people. If you're 5'9" or shorter, your butt may fall into the hinge when bench pressing. This obviously varies from person to person, but FYI.
Maybe not for long with the way things are going.

Ordered one for a home gym. This looks like regular pricing but given the COVID situation, I'll take it until I can find a commercial bench.

From the pictures, it may need additional padding to cover the gap between the seat and backrest. Also, the leg hold bar might require extra padding but that's easily done.

I've been looking to replace my 15 year old golds 600# rated bench with something a bit more stout. But by the looks of it, I'm really not sure I trust this bench. You really dont want to gamble on poor quality with 315-405 lbs on the bar. There is ZERO room for error. That said, has anyone actually used this particular bench?
Unless you're pushing the 300-350 pound weight class, I dont see how a bench with an 800 lb. rating is skimping.

Does anyone know if this is the newer model with the widened back? People had issues with slipping off of the older model.

My concern is that 800 pounds of static weight is considerably less load than the same weight in motion. Go stand on a scale and do some shoulder presses to see what I mean. As the weight is moved upwards, the force on the scale (or bench) is temporarily increased. Usually not a big deal if youve got a large margin of error. I still have a moderate margin of error at 230 bodyweight and 385 on the bar, but if I ever manage to make gains to lets say 245 pushing 405, thats only 150 lb away from max capacity with static weight, and even less considering the dynamic forces when pushing the weight upwards.

This wasnt a big deal before COVID, since I was in a commercial gym. But now I'm forced to either reduce my working weight, or risk my life on lightweight home equipment.

you do know every bench "rated" at 800lbs isn't created equal... right?
