They look to be closing these out with next gen now available. I used Ebay because Paypal worked better for my purchase.

If you're like me and only buy Thinkpads for their key and pad arrangement, it's a VG deal that I took advantage of. If you don't need this build quality, or layout that's great but please lets not compare length of our connectors here.

If you need 512ssd and 16gb, that's available for a bit over $300 more. Not as good a deal and not required for my uses.

One bump because this dropped fast and may be missed. Not cheap but probably as low as it gets. This looks like they are trying to move last gen models so won't last too long.

Maybe $400 ~ 500 or even less with this CPU speed?

10210 is very very slow

Below is a better deal, same IdeaPad, RAM, but cheaper, larger SSD, etc.

An X1 carbon is not even close to the same as anything you posted. Comparing it to a crappy ideapad is like comparing it to a budget acer "ultrabook" it shouldnt even be considered in the same class regardless of specs.

That IdeaPad is going to run a lot faster though. Stick Out Tongue I'd skip both simply because 8GB is insufficient imo. We're in an age where 64GB costs about $240 for end users, and you can be sure developers will start writing applications that take advantage of an abundance of RAM. Even folks that sing "8GB is plenty" should think about longevity 2-3 years from now. If you upgrade every 6 months, then don't worry about it! You could always run Linux on this thing. LMAO

Good deal if you want the ThinkPad build quality, reliability, and typing experience.

Found an even cheaper manufacturer (Lenovo) certified refurbished model ($880) with same specs but an 8th gen i5 (8625U) that is about 5% slower than the posted i5 (10210U). Manufacturer refurbished from Lenovo for thinkpads are as good as new in most cases.
