It says Mac but you can get it for PC too. It gives you a Steam key so you can use it on either platform. I bought this last month when it was $7

Vertebreaker is correct. I just bought this and it activated on my Win 10 PC version of Steam. Weird thing is, when I launch the game and after the Gear Box logo animation nothing happens until I press ESC button. That happens to both Remastered Version 1 & 2 for me for some reason.

Haha. I wish this question didn't have an element of truth in it! 😕
Some games do work okay, it's all just an afterthought that makes me wonder if I should get a windows PC just for gaming

Great game for its day, the soundtrack is more epic than most movies (Adagio for Strings with a destroyed planet backdrop nearly made me cry). The creators said they came up with the User Interface after playing Command and Conquer/Command and Conquer Red Alert and wanted to try making a similar game in 3D. Be warned if you have never played it before that the first game is very unforgiving, all assets you end a mission with is what you start the next mission with. If you fumble or dont capture every enemy ship you can in every single mission you will forever be behind on assets in a near exponential curve.

Here's a cool 45 mimute documentary put out two months ago with one of the creators if anyone is interested

From macOS Catalina onwards, Apple kills most of the gaming initiative gains for older works like Steam games, that spun up in the last decade. However, it looks like the next gen macOS and MacBooks with Apple chipsets will be able to natively play all the iOS games. So, the actually larger library of retro titles available there in the app store will be available. But lets face it, that means buying an all new Mac and they aint cheap.

I mean the big collaboration with Apple and Microsoft compatibility is exclusive to their elite pro controllers, wth?

Supposedly, they have new Virtual Machine support built into the macOS and chips. Hopefully, that also translates well for Wine and Crossover, but I'm not holding my breath. This may be the end of BootCamp or a major leap forward in portability for native PC gaming (not likely.)

This is great. I busted out my old Homeworld: Cataclysm CD a couple months ago but it really ran glitchy on win10 (random crashing). Boy even though I played the entire series I had forgotten how unforgiving the gameplay can be. Smilie

update: Just bought it and added the key to my Win10 Steam with no issue. Can't wait to replay this.

If you think Mac gaming is bad now, just wait a year when all new Macs will be on their own proprietary CISC ARM chips. At least the current Macs are using regular PC internals including your garden variety x86 RISC Intel CPUs.

The new Macs won't be good for anything other than leisure iOS games.

Games are VERY easy nowadays. Kids today never learn a concept of failure. I grew up not expecting to ever beat Mario, Sonic, etc.
