My coworker recently gave me a dehydrator but it's circular. I wonder how much less of an issue fitting stuff is on these square ones. This one looks to have 9 layers. I bought an extra 2 layers for mine so I'm up to 6. This looks like it has a built in timer method instead of me using a plug timer. hmmm...Fruit leather would probably be a lot easier on this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this version lined with plastic inside that is not BPA free? Only the trays are BPA free, right?

edit: apparently, almost all Excalibur dehydrators are lined with polycarbonate plastic inside. Yep, even the metal ones. Supposedly, they might have a few metal ones that might be plastic free.

You have it backwards--the polycarb trays are lined with a BPA free plastic mesh layer
